A-Team Solutions is seeking LPN's for PRN positions at the local Veteran's Center in Wilmore, Ky.
Job Duties:
Perform nursing practice under the direction of a registered nurse or physician. Performs acts requiring knowledge and skill such as are taught or acquired in approved schools for practical nursing. Observes and cares for the ill injured or infirmed within the scope of his/her education and clinical skills. Collects nursing assessment data. Gives counsel and applies procedures to safeguard life and health. Administers medication and treatment as prescribed. Explains medication purposes, dosages and possible side effects to patients. Teaches and delegates to others the performance of nursing care activities. Supervises licensed practical nurses applicants and unlicensed assistive personnel in the performance of patient care activities. Provides first aid for minor injuries. Participates as a member of patient's individual treatment team. Assists medical and other professional staff. Consults with registered nurse or physician on situations beyond the scope of his/her education and clinical skills. Participates in drills for and responds to facility emergencies. Makes essential entries on essential records. Accepts and accounts for drugs and related paraphernalia. Schedules patient's activities/appointments. Communicates with patients family members. Closely monitors the behavior of potentially suicidal patients. Attends in-service training. Performs simple maintenance of medical equipment. Reports unusual incidents with staff or patients to supervisor. Serves on committees. Follows established policies and procedures of employing facility/agency.
Requirements:
Must have current LPN license in good standing with current TB test, CPR Card, two forms of I.D., clean drug test, and clean background check.
A current Kentucky LPN license
A valid BLS/CPR certification
1 to 2 years' experience and up
A valid Kentucky license
A current CPR or similar certification
A current TB test
1 to 5 years' experience
