5 hour work week) position in a busy 2-attorney law firm which requires multi-tasking by an extremely efficient, highly organized, resourceful and detail oriented person with the ability for independent problem solving.
The applicant shall be experienced with the following:
Receiving visitors; answering/returning calls; able to effectively support two attorneys.
Possesses skills in meeting and dealing with people in a courteous and tactful manner.
Maintaining calendars of court dates, client meetings, filing deadlines, hearings and trial dates.
Scheduling in-person meetings, phone appointments, conferences, depositions, and court reporters.
Handling a wide range of administrative duties including filing, opening new case files, assembling and organizing case files and records.
Maintaining multiple Excel spreadsheets for the purpose of collecting and tracking client data.
Producing written documents using MS Word, Excel, Google Calendar and other office software applications.
Proficiency required in Microsoft Office software programs (Word, Excel and Outlook).
Skill in operating a personal computer, printer and scanner needed.
Qualified typist is required.
Examining, preparing and processing a variety of legal documents (e.
g.
petitions, summons, motions, orders, answers); Proofreading legal briefs, memoranda and other legal documents; Education:
Applicant will have a High School Diploma and a minimum of 2 years law office experience; paralegal degree/certificate is a plus.
